My Personal Experiences As An Indie Artist pt. 5

Hey what's up family, and welcome to another installment of my personal experiences as an indie artist, this past weekend was a really busy one for yours truly. I was invited to perform at this years Unifest event, which in fact is a pretty big deal in the DC Metropolitan area, I was joined by a host of very talented and prominent independent artists from the DMV area and beyond, every artist at some point (if not right away) has to form a strong reliable team to help put the word out about your music in efforts to build and strengthen your fan base, most recently I've added a road manager and a street team to my personnel, and I must say this couldn't have happened at a better time, after my performance at the Pleasure P show, we were approached by a gentleman who was more than up for the job not to mention he's very experienced as well as still very active in the industry, in fact he was responsible for getting me that show in the 1st place, he also helped put a street team together to assist in spreading the awareness about the worlds 1st R&B Hip-Hop Rockstar. The Unifest was a perfect opportunity to put these new additions in motion, we came armed with singles, posters, flyers, etc. ready to make my presence felt, and once I hit the stage I have to say it was all well worth it. The mood of the event was high energy from the moment we arrived, after the Unifest I had another performance later on that night with another independent artist, a very gifted female emcee who goes by the name of Shy-Thoro who asked me to join her as we showcased our new collaboration entitled 'What Cha Gonna Do', we performed that song after only recording it 2 days prior, judging from the crowds reaction it looks like we may have a hit on our hands, so be on the lookout for that one. I like being able to share these things with you to give you a little bit of an insight as to what goes on in the making and development of an artist, I still have so far to go, and i must say I'm ready for every crazy rollercoaster minute of it.
